ABOUT US > TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION print

CNI oversees the whole acacia gum transformation process; from harvesting to the final consumer, contributing to the development of new technologies, improving the properties of its product and studying new applications, proving the innovative determination of the CNI team.

Controlling technological change and each stage from research to the prototype is a priority to remain the world leader in gum acacia. It is CNI’s goal to remain the privileged partner of and grow with its customers.

FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH

In its research centre, located in Serqueux, CNI scientists and engineers lead accurate research to improve the properties of the products, and develop new technologies and applications.

Fundamental research is conducted in CNI own laboratories, in conjunction with renown universities and research institutes.

The innovative determination of the CNI team has been a major source of product development for CNI. Recently, CNI research has realized a major achievement by developing Eficacia™: a patented emulsifying acacia gum for flavours and beverage emulsions, that provide significant cost cuts thanks to a dosage of only 5%, compared to 20% with traditional gums or 12% with modified starches.

PILOT PLANT

CNI is equipped with a state of the art pilot plant to carry out feasibility studies and also small-scale production runs.

CNI pilot plant allow quick scale up of new applications or processes, and notably: preparation of liquids, separation-filtration, homogenisation, pasteurisation, spray drying, spray chilling, encapsulation, micro-encapsulation, hot melt coating, granulation and powder blending.

TECHNICAL SERVICE

In its pilot_workshop of Serqueux, CNI uses state of the art equipment for a wide range of applications. Customers can thereby test their products in real time and supply their R&D department with samples to be evaluated.

The Technical Service team works internationally. These CNI employees are trained and have a thorough understanding with regard to application methods.
